I love getting about with my camera and my sound recorder. Pinjaroo is the country home of a friend of mine who has made the move out of the city. It’s a really special place tucked into the back of the western side of the Great Dividing Range. Think I’ll be going out there often. Wouldn’t you? This place has got it all.

Thanks Mish. Turned out to be a neat little project I’d like to do more of, images and their sounds. The brevity of the post seems to appeal.

There’s something so evocative with the magpies call – it always says’ bush’ to me and the dog barking in the background – love it

One of those lucky moments of recording Maureen, that just captured it all. I agree, the magpies call (and the crows) are the landscapes of our lives. Particularly for country people. They make me homesick for the bush. Thanks for posting your response.
